What to expect at your first visit

You will see Dr. Andrew Dold, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon fellowship-trained in sports medicine at NYU Langone. He treats knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, foot and ankle problems, sports injuries and fractures for patients of all ages, from young athletes to active adults.

At the visit, Dr. Dold reviews your history, examines you, and reviews or orders the imaging needed to make a diagnosis. You leave with a clear plan. Most problems are treated without surgery first, and surgery is recommended only when it offers a clear benefit. Same-day appointments available.

Do I need a referral to see Dr. Dold?

Many patients do not, but some insurance plans require one. Call 469-850-0680 and the team will check your plan.

How soon will I hear back after I submit a request?

Our staff calls and texts within an hour during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm). Requests sent after hours are answered the next business morning.

I think I have a fracture or a new injury. Can I be seen quickly?

Yes. Start your request with “URGENT”, or walk in Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 8:30 to 10:30 am. For emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Do I need surgery?

Most orthopedic problems are treated without surgery first. Dr. Dold recommends surgery only when it offers a clear benefit, and second opinions are welcome.
