About Dr. Dold

Dr. Andrew Dold is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon (American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, with subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. He is the Director of Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Star Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Frisco, Texas, and has practiced in the Dallas area since 2016.

He specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder and ankle, including direct anterior hip replacement and knee replacement. Whenever possible, he favors minimally invasive, joint-preserving treatment, and he offers non-surgical and biologic options such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP).

Dr. Dold trained at Trinity College Dublin (medical school), the University of Toronto (orthopedic surgery residency) and NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital / Hospital for Joint Diseases (sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship), and completed the Surgical Leadership Program at Harvard Medical School.
